In this tutorial, we will show you how to bridge tokens, swap and provide liquidity (LP) on Aptos via Sushi.

Bridge Tokens (from Ethereum to Aptos)

Before trading or providing liquidity on Aptos, ensure you have funded your wallet. Start by bridging your assets from the Ethereum (or other networks) to the Aptos network using the Aptos Bridge powered by LayerZero.

  1. Connect Wallet

You have to connect 2 wallets i.e. An EVM wallet and an Aptos wallet to bridge (meaning transfer) assets from Ethereum to Aptos.

  1. Then, connect your EVM wallet, like Metamask.
  1. Next, connect your Aptos wallet. I am using Petra here.
  1. Then “Go to transfer”.
  1. Transfer assets from your EVM wallet to your Aptos wallet

Select the token and amount you want to swap from your EVM wallet, and token to receive on your Aptos wallet. Click “Transfer” when you are ready.

Here we are bridging 5 USDC to the Aptos wallet.

  1. Confirm the details and transaction.
  1. Transaction will then be submitted.
  1. You will see how long it takes for the transaction to go through.
  1. Once the transaction is complete,  you should be able to see the swapped amount on your Aptos wallet.

Swap on Aptos

Once you have funded your wallet, you can go ahead and start swapping on Sushi.

  1. Visit the Sushi Website.
Select "Enter App" to access the swap user interface (UI).
  1. Change the network selection to Aptos, then you will be directed to the dedicated Aptos page.

3. Connect “Wallet”. You will need an Aptos wallet. I am using Petra wallet here.

4. Select Tokens to swap from the drop-down menu. Choose the tokens you want to exchange. For instance, swapping APT to lzUSDC.

5. Enter Swap Amount.
Input the quantity of the token you wish to sell.

6. Review and Confirm
Verify all the details of your swap, particularly the tokens and the amount.

Congratulations, you've successfully conducted a token swap on Aptos.

LP on Aptos

  1. Under the pool page, click at the end of “I want to create a position” to launch the drop-down menu. Then, click on V2 position.
  1. You will land on the “Add Liquidity” page. Choose “Aptos” from the drop-down menu. You will be redirected to the dedicated Aptos page
  1.  Choose “Pool”
  1. Connect wallet. You will need an Aptos wallet. I am using Petra again.
  1. Next, select a pool you want to provide liquidity.
  1. Click the “Deposit”
  1. Add the amount you want to provide liquidity to.

Note: Both tokens will automatically represent a 50/50 balance, make sure you have enough tokens of each in your wallet.

  1. Add liquidity and confirm on your wallet.
  1. Done. You can see your position under “My Positions”
