Sushi is officially live on Stellar Mainnet! As a layer-1, open-source blockchain, Stellar provides developers, innovators, and creators with the foundation to build borderless digital-asset solutions that broaden financial access and unlock real-world utility.
With Sushi V3 AMM live on Stellar, users can now trade and provide liquidity directly on the network, combining the trusted payments-focused Stellar ecosystem with Sushi’s deep DeFi expertise and multi-chain ecosystem. Cross-chain functionality is also coming to Stellar as part of the integration and is expected to be live in the coming weeks.
"Sushi going live on Stellar is a major milestone for DeFi on Stellar. Liquidity providers will benefit from increased control and efficiency. Adding an experienced DeFi platform like Sushi to the Stellar ecosystem is a powerful signal that DeFi on Stellar has arrived”, said Raja Chakravorti, Chief Business Officer at the Stellar Development Foundation.
The Stellar network is supported by a strong, globally engaged community shaped by years of ecosystem participants believing in SDF’s mission to create equitable access to the global financial system. Sushi shares that belief, and we’re excited to partner with SDF to improve the DeFi experience for all.
What is Stellar?
The Stellar network, supported by SDF, provides a decentralized, public blockchain that enables:
Asset issuance and tokenization
Smart contracts
Connections to financial rails
Developer tools for building interoperable applications
Designed with quick, efficient cross-border payments and remittances in mind, Stellar is uniquely positioned in today’s landscape to capture market share in the global payments system. With an international network of trusted entities that connect the network to traditional finance systems, Stellar enables the conversion of assets into local funds all over the world. Typical transactions on Stellar settle in under ten seconds and cost a fraction of a U.S. cent, with its native token, XLM, serving as both the gas token for transactions on the network and a bridge asset between multiple other assets.
With over a decade of growth and experience, Stellar has become a core blockchain for payments and real-world use cases. Its developer-friendly framework enables apps to interoperate and connect to existing financial rails, while also supporting asset issuance and tokenization, all on the same network.
