Multi-Chain First Applications

Over the last cycle, we saw the growth in demand for additional block space on EVM-based chains whether it be layer 1 or 2. With over $23 billion of $54 billion in TVL being deployed across various chains outside of Ethereum, the direction is clear for a multi-chain rich future and at Sushi we are solely focused on building truly chain agnostic applications.

SushiXSwap was the first iteration on this multi-chain first approach, being the first ever cross-chain swap AMM and already showing good usage with swaps between: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, Avalanche, Fantom, Binance Smart Chain.

With this focus on true multi-chain experiences, we here at Sushi took the path of a complete architecture overhaul with 2.0 that really starts to unlock the potential of the horizontal scaling we’ve done across many different chains.

Excited by this chain agnostic future, today at Sushi we are announcing the release of the first phase of our Sushi 2.0 UI: swaps, earn, and analytics all with 15 chains in one place.

Phase One

Sushi 2.0 in its first phase features a revamped look to improve the experience for our users with swaps, liquidity management, staking and analytics.

Sushi 2.0 supports: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, MoonRiver, Gnosis, Fantom, Binance Smart Chain, Celo, Fuse, Arbitrum Nova, Optimism, Polygon, Metis, Boba and Kava.

All 15 chains can be accessed through each of these applications, and more will come in the second phase to make the experience even more seamless.

Earn: Pools & Farms

In DeFi’s current state, position management across chains is difficult so we make it easier than ever with managing your AMM positions across each chain.

Through the new Earn dashboard, users now have the luxury of being able to see every pool on each chain in one place. Easy navigation simplifies the process of finding good pools to enter and gives access to expanded analytics for every pair under the Sushi AMM.

Through the list of farms in the Pools table, one can access each pair to display additional analytics that can assist by showing historical data for: volume, fees, TVL, and APR. Don’t flip between multiple windows to find all of the information you need - just select a farm you’re interested in and take it from there!

Other quality of life features include things such as:

  • Single-tap network selection
    • Simply select the network you would like to operate on via the convenient bar at the top of the farm listings
  • Direct SushiBar staking for xSUSHI
    • No need to flip to a separate page, add any amount of $SUSHI to the SushiBar window at the top of the screen and receive your xSUSHI!
  • Personal positions
  • Filtering by metrics such as TVL, Volume, APR
    • To filter by a certain metric, just select it from the top of the farm details (to the right of network, name, etc) and the list will automatically filter to your choice! By default, the list is ordered by TVL from largest to smallest.
  • Pools & Farms combined in a single list, separated out per chain

As demonstrated above, the new pools user experience (UX) is a massive upgrade over the previous one. With new features including, but not limited to:

  • Single-tap network selection; view all available chains now without switching, conveniently! Simply select the chain with the pair you want to add liquidity to and voila
  • Updated position statistics and farming rewards
  • Fee Tiers (along with recommendations) for chains
  • Instantly stake your liquidity provider (LP) tokens upon adding to a pool

Analytics

Having accurate historical and current data is extremely important to any protocol in the space, and Sushi is no different. Equally important is having the ability to see all of this information for each chain in one place. Our brand new analytics application is all of the above and more, combining analytics for all 15 chains in one place. Users now have the ability to filter in many different ways, and you can now view TVL and Volume charts by week, month, year or the entire history of the protocol while being able to filter or drill down further into selected chains.

Swap

The first iteration of our swaps revamp arrives with the first phase of the 2.0 rollout. Additional features will be added over the next few weeks to this application; new features such as Carbon Offsetting via Klima Dao, Manifold’s Sushi Router Upgrades and Tines improvements are all expected to be integrated next.

Phase 2

The 2.0 Interface is something that we have been working very hard on over the past few months and we are extremely proud of the way it turned out. This is simply the first phase as well; in the next phase of Sushi 2.0 UI, we will be releasing the multi-chain interactions within all of the aforementioned products, allowing all of our users to seamlessly use Sushi across all of our chains we’re deployed on. Keep a close eye on our socials (link below) for more 2.0 UI updates, and let us know what you think of our big new update via Twitter or Discord. We hope you all enjoy!
