Learn How to Borrow & Leverage on Kashi

Note that Kashi 1.0 has been deprecated. Deposits and borrows have been disabled in the UI.


How To Borrow On Kashi

Step 1: Head over to the borrow section of Kashi.

Step 2: Select the pair with the collateral you have and the asset you want to borrow.

Step 3: Once you’ve made your selection, you’ll be redirected to a new interface. Navigate to the Borrow tab.

Choose where you want to deposit your funds from - Your Wallet or BentoBox. Input the amount you want to deposit as collateral.

Choose where you want the borrowed funds to be deposited to - once more, either to Your Wallet or BentoBox. Input the amount of asset you would like to borrow.

When you’re done, click on the Deposit and Borrow → Confirm Borrow buttons to execute the transaction. If it’s your first time using Kashi or BentoBox, you’ll have to approve it first.

Congratulations! Your newly borrowed asset should now either be in your wallet or Bentobox.

Note: Make sure the Leverage position button is turned off if you’re not planning on using leverage.

Note: Always keep the percentage under Health below 100% (75% of your collateral value). This is very important if you don’t want to be liquidated!


How To Use Leverage On Kashi

Step 1: Once more, head over to the borrow section of via the Kashi → Borrow buttons on the 1.0 app.

Step 2: Select the pair with the collateral you have and the asset you want to borrow.

Step 3: Once you’ve made your selection, you’ll be redirected to a new interface. Navigate to the Borrow tab.

Choose where you want to deposit your funds from - Your Wallet or Bentobox. Input the amount you want to deposit as collateral.

Turn on the Leverage position button and choose the amount of leverage needed (Min 0.25x to 2x Max). The amount of asset borrowed will change accordingly to the leverage set.

Step 4: When you’re done, click on the Deposit and Borrow → Confirm Borrow buttons to execute the transaction. If it’s your first time using Kashi or Bentobox, you’ll have to approve it first.

Congratulations! You are now longing your collateral and shorting the asset borrowed.

Note: Always keep the percentage under ‘Health’ below 100% (75% of your collateral value). This is very important if you don’t want to be liquidated!
